With Attender in Microsoft Teams, you’ll have more time for teaching and less admin tasks to worry about. You simply open Teams as you usually would — we’ll automatically handle the rest for you!
When students log onto Teams, their attendance is automatically registered. If they close the Teams application, they will be checked out – without having to do anything themselves.
A small icon next to the student’s name shows that Attender is active.
Once the lesson ends, you’ll automatically receive a notification from Attender with an overview of attendees and absent students.
If necessary, teachers can always register or adjust attendance manually. For example, if several students are sharing one computer, the teacher can easily correct the attendance data.
You can also distinguish between online and in-person lessons. A clear icon on the time table block appears if Teams attendance is active, making it easy for everyone to stay informed.
By default, Microsoft Teams does not support written absence – either you would have to double register assignments or avoid Teams entirely. With Attender, you can now use Teams for assignment submissions and keep track of both written and physical absence!
Modern teaching often includes a mix of online and physical lessons. Many schools also use Teams for all kinds of communication and as part of the teaching itself. That’s why it’s essential to have a system that brings all the data you need together.
Whether you use Attender in the browser, in the app, or in Teams, everything works in one flow. The data is fully synchronized – no duplicate entries or registrations, no exporting or importing, and no risk of losing information.
It provides clarity, overview, and saves time – for teachers, students, and administration alike.
